Kristin brings more than 14 years of public accounting experience to her role as Director of Tax at Gatewood Tax and Accounting. Throughout her career, she has developed and led teams providing income tax compliance and consulting services in deadline-driven environments, with a particular focus on flow-through entities and high net worth individual taxation.
Kristin spent nearly a decade at Brown Smith Wallace, LLP (which later merged into Armanino), advancing through the tax practice from Staff to Senior Manager. In 2021, she was promoted to Tax Director at Armanino Advisory, LLC, where she reviewed and signed tax filings for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations across multi-state jurisdictions. She also led Armanino’s Historic Tax Credit group, working closely with the Missouri Department of Economic Development on Missouri Historic and Neighborhood Preservation projects. Kristin is a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs and Missouri Preservation, reflecting her dual commitment to the profession and to the preservation work she is passionate about.
As Director of Tax at Gatewood, Kristin leads the firm’s tax practice with a focus on integrated planning, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships. Her deep expertise in flow-through entity and high net worth individual taxation supports Gatewood’s mission of delivering coordinated wealth, tax, and accounting solutions for the families and businesses in our care.
Kristin grew up in St. Louis and still calls it home, where she lives with her husband and their two young children. Family is at the center of her life, and she and her family spend as much time as they can with extended family, including her niece.
Outside of work, Kristin loves to travel and spend time outdoors. She also has a passion for historic houses, which has extended into her professional work through the Missouri Historic Tax Credit program, where she has helped clients rehabilitate historic properties across the state.
