Micah brings over a decade of experience to his role as a Retirement Plan Consultant. Micah’s journey in the financial sector began as an Auditor with a St. Louis based accounting firm, Brown Smith Wallace. He then became a Retirement Plan Specialist for Benefit Plans Plus where his analytical skills and keen insights into retirement planning were first honed. Transitioning to Lockton Companies, Micah excelled as an Account Manager for Retirement Services, advising on the management of over $1 billion in retirement assets. His expertise in ERISA regulations, plan administration, and investment fiduciary principles significantly contributed to the clients he served.

In his role as Manager, Healthcare & Life Benefits and Senior Finance & Compliance Analyst at Ameren - St. Louis, MO, Micah oversaw the strategy, plan design, and administration of a comprehensive suite of benefits for both active co-workers and retirees. His role encompassed leadership in various areas, including healthcare and life benefits, ERISA benefit plan design and audits, SOX compliance, and 401(k) plan administration. Micah’s adeptness at navigating complex financial landscapes and his proactive approach to benefits management underscore his commitment to enhancing employee welfare and satisfaction.

As a Retirement Plan Consultant at Gatewood Wealth Solutions, Micah continues to demonstrate his dedication to providing exceptional client service with the firm’s employer-sponsored retirement plan services. He plays a crucial role in the design and implementation of retirement plans, ensuring that each step of the process reflects the highest standards of service delivery. Micah’s extensive knowledge of qualified plans and ERISA regulations, combined with his experience as both administrator and consultant, position him as a key asset to both GWS and its business clients with Employer Sponsored Retirement Plans.

PERSONAL

On a personal note, Micah resides in St. Louis, MO, with his wife, Michelle, and their two children, Everett and Jane. When he is not chasing his kids, his interests include all things fitness, the outdoors, college football (Boomer Sooner), soccer, drumming, golf, and exploring local restaurants.

His academic achievements, including the prestigious George C. Sibley Founders Award, reflect his dedication to scholarship, leadership, loyalty, and service.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Micah’s faith is the foundation of his life. He is deeply committed to his local church community where he serves in various capacities.
