As a Wealth Coordinator at Gatewood Wealth Solutions, Ricky Zott draws on more than a decade of experience in financial markets, economic research, and regulatory analysis to support the firm’s planning-first approach. As a CFA®, Ricky brings thoughtful precision to every client relationship—helping transform complexity into coordinated strategy.
Prior to joining Gatewood, Ricky served as a Financial Market Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, where he worked on a team that supported the Office of the President in preparing for monetary policy discussions at the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC). His work involved analyzing economic trends, interest rate movements, and market dynamics to help guide economic decision-making.
Earlier in his career, Ricky held roles as a Capital Markets Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and as a Senior Bank Examiner. Across more than 75 regulatory examinations, he gained deep experience in asset allocation, balance sheet oversight, and systemic risk management—spanning institutions from $10 million to over $90 billion in assets.
At Gatewood, Ricky applies this breadth of insight to help families and business owners align their financial lives with their long-term purpose. As a Wealth Coordinator, he partners with our team’s wealth planners to deliver comprehensive planning, investment, and legacy solutions that reflect both nuance and care.
A St. Louis native, Ricky values preparation, intentionality, and strong partnerships—traits he honed during his years as a collegiate athlete and team captain on Truman State’s Men’s Swim Team.
At home, Ricky is a proud husband to his wife Tu and father to two young children. Together, their favorite moments are often the simplest—sharing new culinary finds or enjoying a quiet morning with a good cup of coffee.
